The rollout began for paid ChatGPT subscribers on that date, following efforts to enhance development pace in light of recent advancements from competitors, including Google's Gemini 3 released the previous month.
GPT-5.2 supports enterprise applications with greater precision and better adherence to instructions. It performs effectively in areas such as developing spreadsheets, preparing presentations, and managing multi-step processes.
The model provides improved efficiency in processing medium and complex queries, incorporating defined boundaries to produce focused responses.
It is designed for dependable use in production settings, delivering consistent results in fields like programming and document review.
According to company statements, GPT-5.2 frequently achieves or exceeds performance levels of current models in completing tasks, while maintaining flexibility in response style and structure.
