CNN’s All-Access Subscription Tier Will Launch on October 28 at $6.99 per Month

CNN will introduce a new streaming subscription service priced at $6.99 per month, set to launch on October 28, 2025, in the United States. This move comes three years after its parent company, Warner Bros Discovery, discontinued the CNN+ platform shortly after its debut.

The CNN logo is seen during the Republican presidential debate hosted by CNN at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, U.S. January 10, 2024.

The "all access" subscription tier will provide users with live and on-demand video content, access to all CNN.com articles, and a library of CNN Originals, including the network’s latest productions. The service aims to deliver a comprehensive digital experience for subscribers.

This initiative is part of Warner Bros Discovery’s strategy to strengthen its streaming business amid a decline in cable TV revenue. The company is also exploring a restructuring plan that would separate CNN into a cable-focused entity, while its studios and streaming operations would form a distinct organization.

CNN CEO Mark Thompson, formerly of The New York Times, is leading efforts to boost the network’s performance through innovative projects. The new streaming service builds on CNN’s existing Basic tier, launched in October 2024, which offers unlimited access to CNN.com and app articles, along with exclusive subscriber content.

Current pay-TV subscribers can access the new streaming service at no additional cost, while a Basic tier subscription is required for unlimited article access. CNN is offering an introductory annual plan of $41.99 for the first year, available until January 5, 2026, compared to the regular price of $69.99 annually.

“It’s an essential step in CNN’s evolution,” said Alex MacCallum, executive vice president for digital products and services at CNN Worldwide.

In a related development, Fox Corp launched its Fox One subscription streaming service in August 2025, priced at $19.99 per month, reflecting the competitive landscape of the streaming industry.
