Leclanché Receives Type Approvals for Its Marine Energy Storage System

Swiss energy storage company Leclanché SA has obtained type approval certificates from Lloyd’s Register (LR) and Bureau Veritas (BV) for its Navius MRS-3 marine rack system. The approvals, granted for the lithium-ion-based battery system, confirm compliance with the design, safety, and performance standards set by these leading classification societies for marine equipment.

The Navius MRS-3 is a modular system designed for integration into various types of vessels, supporting the maritime industry’s efforts to meet increasingly stringent emissions regulations. Its flexible design enables efficient energy storage, contributing to sustainable operations across diverse marine applications.
