African UMS has been providing mining and support services at Mana since 2018.
The Mana complex, located in the Houndé Greenstone Belt, is known for its high-grade gold deposits at the Siou and Wona underground operations. UMS has been delivering mining and support services at the site since 2018. Perenti managing director and CEO Mark Norwell stated: “It is very pleasing and positive to announce the expansion of the Mana contract with Endeavour. This contract is consistent with our guidance for FY25 and will contribute strongly in FY26 and beyond. Our team continually delivers exceptional value for our clients, and this is clearly demonstrated by this long-term contract for expanded operations at the Mana complex.”
The contract aligns with Perenti’s financial year 2025 capital guidance and expands the scope of its existing partnership with Endeavour. In collaboration with its local joint venture partner, Dynamic Mining Supply, Perenti aims to enhance local procurement, skills development, and job opportunities in Burkina Faso, fostering sustainable economic benefits for the region. The partnership emphasizes trust and reliability, leveraging the expertise of Perenti’s team to support the Mana complex’s operations.
Additionally, Perenti Global has signed a memorandum of understanding with Sandvik to develop advanced diesel-electric equipment to improve sustainability in underground mining. This initiative, involving Perenti’s subsidiary Barminco, focuses on enhancing the performance of Sandvik’s underground diesel-electric loaders and trucks, further supporting efficient and environmentally conscious mining practices.
