On May 13, 2025, Netcracker Technology announced the extension of its partnership with GCI, Alaska’s leading telecommunications provider, to enhance GCI’s customer, revenue, and operations management systems. This collaboration aims to improve customer experience, streamline operations, and accelerate service delivery across Alaska’s diverse communities.

The upgraded systems will enable GCI to offer a more seamless customer experience through efficient, automated processes. By leveraging Netcracker’s advanced solutions, GCI expects to reduce operational costs through hosted managed services and expedite the introduction of new services with a streamlined fulfillment and provisioning process. These improvements are designed to meet the evolving needs of GCI’s customers, who rely on the company for data, mobile, video, voice, and managed services across more than 200 Alaskan communities.

Netcracker will provide a range of hosted managed services to support critical business and operational processes, ensuring faster issue resolution and improved order processing times. These enhancements will also lower platform costs, allowing GCI to operate more efficiently while maintaining high service quality. The partnership builds on a nine-year collaboration that began with GCI’s Polaris Program, which focused on transforming its technological infrastructure to better serve its customer base.

Sean Lambert, VP of Application Technology at GCI, stated: “The Netcracker partnership has been at the heart of the system and business transformation that was started nine years ago with the Polaris Program. Extending our partnership with Netcracker will enable GCI to focus on critical market drivers to address our customer needs for many years to come.” This reflects GCI’s commitment to prioritizing customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Rohit Aggarwal, General Manager at Netcracker, commented: “We are delighted to continue our journey with GCI as it undertakes this critical step to boost its business efficiency and deliver more value to customers. Our state-of-the-art BSS and OSS solutions are a game changer, and we are excited to validate GCI’s ability to enable critical digital transformations.” The continued collaboration underscores Netcracker’s role in supporting GCI’s growth and innovation.

GCI, a subsidiary of Liberty Broadband Corporation, has invested $4.7 billion over the past 45 years to strengthen Alaska’s telecommunications infrastructure. This partnership with Netcracker reinforces GCI’s efforts to enhance connectivity and close the digital divide in the region, ensuring reliable services for consumers, businesses, and government entities.
