The Interbattery Europe event, organized by the Korea Battery Industry Association, Coex, and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency, will feature around 200 companies. Samsung SDI will display the U8A1 alongside its existing energy storage system (ESS) batteries, highlighting its advancements in battery technology. The company, the only Korean finalist for the Smarter E Awards, has its U8A1 battery nominated in the energy storage category and its no-thermal-propagation technology recognized in the e-mobility category. These awards honor innovative products across photovoltaics, energy storage, e-mobility, smart integrated energy, and outstanding projects.
The U8A1 battery offers ultra-high output and high energy density, enabling efficient performance in compact spaces, making it ideal for data center applications. Samsung SDI will also present its Samsung Battery Box 1.5, a 20-foot containerized ESS that integrates battery cells, modules, racks, and safety systems, designed for diverse energy storage needs.
A Samsung SDI spokesperson stated: “We will showcase a portfolio of ESS batteries optimized for a wide range of customer uses at the exhibition. With Samsung SDI’s ESS batteries, you’ll be able to glimpse a world where our daily lives are always connected.” The company aims to demonstrate its commitment to reliable and sustainable energy solutions through its innovative battery offerings.
