In a statement published by Manila Standard on April 23, ENEX Chairman Gerardo C. Ablaza, Jr. declared: “The company remains keen on developing a 1,100-megawatt combined cycle gas turbine project through Batangas Clean Energy (BCE) and the Cinco oil and gas prospect under Petroleum Service Contract 55.” This underscores the company’s focus on advancing energy infrastructure in the region.
ENEX also provided an update on Petroleum Service Contract 55 (SC 55) in the West Philippine Sea, noting that operations remain paused due to regional circumstances. The company is actively seeking potential partners to support the development of this asset and will continue to monitor opportunities for progress.
The corporation emphasized its commitment to transparency, stating it will promptly inform the Philippine Stock Exchange of any significant updates regarding these projects. This approach ensures stakeholders remain well-informed about developments in ENEX’s energy initiatives.
