April 2025 is projected to set a new export record, surpassing the 13.5 million tons exported in April 2024. In the first week of April, Brazilian farmers sold 4.5 million tons of soybeans, with an additional 10 million tons expected by month’s end.
João Silva, a market analyst at Agrinvest Commodities, stated: “The strong demand from China, combined with Brazil’s robust harvest progress, is driving unprecedented export volumes this season.” The high export pace underscores Brazil’s critical role in meeting global soybean demand.
The focus on exports has not disrupted domestic supply, as Brazil’s production capacity continues to support both local consumption and international markets. The completion of the harvest in most regions, despite regional delays, ensures a steady supply chain.
