French renewables business GreenYellow has acquired three portfolios of operating assets, including 20 MW of solar photovoltaic (PV) parks at home, from venture capital investment firm Demeter Investment Managers.

The batch of acquired assets includes some energy efficiency projects and two solar plants, namely Vanilla and Lavanda Solar, GreenYellow said recently.

Specifically, the company has bought a majority stake in Eifficentre, a public-private partnership with Eiffage that has a 15-year contract to enhance the energy efficiency of 18 high schools in the Centre-Val de Loire region. GreenYellow has also taken possession of the 13-MW Vanilla Solar portfolio, comprising six rooftop PV arrays that were initially developed by GreenYellow and were later transferred to investors. The purchase also includes the 7-MW Lavanda Solar bundle of 11 rooftop PV systems in mainland France that went live between 2010 and 2011 and will produce roughly 7.7 GWh of electricity annually.

"With this acquisition, GreenYellow continues to invest in innovative and sustainable projects, thus supporting its mission as a privileged partner for businesses and communities in their energy transition,” said GreenYellow’s president Otmane Hajji.
