The International Geothermal Association (IGA) is delighted to announce that Calgary (Canada), has been selected as the host city for the World Geothermal Congress 2026 (WGC2026).

After an intensive review process of several exceptional bids, including those from Cancun (Mexico), and Rome (Italy), the decision was made in favour of Calgary. The city’s proposal stood out not only due to its thoughtful planning but also because of the enormous potential for growth in the geothermal sector that the IGA recognizes in this region.
