29 Jun 2023  by splash247

Altera Shuttle Tankers has sealed a deal with Brazil’s state-owned oil company Petrobras for the charter of its 2013-built suezmax Lambada Spirit.

The company did not disclose the value of the contract for the 154.000 dwt vessel but said it was for five years, most likely starting in October.

The shuttle tankers arm of Brookfield Asset Management-controlled Altera Infrastructure was formed in 2017.

The company has a fleet of 20 vessels, of which 19 are owned. Three more 2013-built units are working in Brazil; the Bossa Nova Spirit coming off contract in November, Sertanejo Spirit fixed until January 2024 with extension options available and Samba Spirit fixed until June 2025.
