More Details Published on Greece International Geothermal Tender

The Ministry of Environment and Energy (YPEN) of Greece has published more details on the international tender for geothermal research which was announced a few days ago .

More specifically, the tender is for the lease of the right to research the geothermal potential of the following non-designated areas:

Southern Section of the Strymons River Basin, Regional Units of Serres & Kavala

Akropotamos, Regional Units of Kavala & Serres

Western Section of the Nestos River Delta Basin, Regional Units of Kavala and Xanthi

Evros River Delta Basin, Regional Unit of Evros

The right to explore the geothermal potential in these areas shall be leased for a period of five years from the signing of each lease agreement with the right of unilateral extension by the lessee for two years.

The bidding process will take place on Wednesday, 4 October, 2023, at 10.00 AM before the Tender Committee in the Meetings Room of the Secretariat General of Energy and Mineral Raw Materials, Mesogeion 119, 115 26 Athens, 2nd floor.

The offers of those participating must be submitted to the Protocol Office at the Directorate General of Mineral Raw Materials (Mesogeion 119, 115 26 Athens, 3rd floor, Room 352) of YPEN, at the latest up until the start of the Tender Committee’s session.
