Set to be used by a major steel conglomerate in China, the hydrogen trucks will be influential in decarbonising the mobility sector of Chinese industry and presents a new opportunity for Hyzon to extend into the Chinese hydrogen market.
HongYun said it would provide operation, leasing and maintenance services for industrial and municipal customers in targeted locations in China, which is expected to be a massive market for fuel cell technologies in the coming years.
To further expand on this collaboration, Hongyun has further ordered 33 more trucks to ensure the company is able to cater for the growing demand for hydrogen mobility solutions.
China’s hydrogen market continues to grow into one of the largest and most diverse in the world and with a continued planned expansion of its hydrogen production capabilities, China is intending to be at the forefront of the global hydrogen economy.
