U.S. Refining Capacity Shrinks by 4.5% in 2020

According to a report released by the US government a few days ago, the US refining capacity fell 4.5% to 18.13 million barrels per day from a record of 18.98 million barrels per day a year ago.

According to data from the US Energy Information Administration, this is the first annual decline since the 2018 production capacity fell by 18,530 barrels per day, and the largest decline since 2012.
