BNetzA said 658MW is on offer in the German North Sea and 300MW in the Baltic Sea, for projects to be completed by 2026.

It added that the maximum value of bids for the areas is €73.0 a megawatt-hour.

Bids must be addressed to the Federal Network Agency in Bonn by 1 September 2021.

BNetzA said the bidder that declares the least funding requirement for a wind farm on the site will be awarded a contract.

It added that for two of the three areas, however, there are legal admission rights of the companies that had originally planned offshore wind farms at the sites.
