PowerCell Sweden Joins European Clean Hydrogen Alliance

26 Nov 2020  by Molly Burgess

PowerCell Sweden AB has joined the European Clean Hydrogen Alliance.

The fuel cell specialist today (25th Nov) announced its membership, stating its participation will provide the company with an opportunity to be involved in defining which projects and investments are to be made within the hydrogen area and EU Green Deal framework.

Per Ekdunge, Vice-President of PowerCell Sweden said, “We are pleased to join the Clean Hydrogen Alliance and to work with the other stakeholders who share the same vison of how hydrogen can help contribute to a decarbonised future.”

“In the alliance, we will contribute with our expertise regarding the role fuel cells can play for the energy transition and for accelerating the transition to a zero-emission economy”

In July 2020, the European Commission announced the EU Hydrogen Strategy and the launch of the European Clean Hydrogen Alliance.

By establishing the Alliance, the EU aims to strengthen its global leadership position in the rapidly developing hydrogen domain, which will in turn help it to realise its carbon neutrality goals by 2050.

The European Clean Hydrogen Alliance, which brings together more than 200 industry, national and local public authorities, civil society and other stakeholders, aims to initiate an investment agenda and support the scaling up of the hydrogen value chain across Europe.
