ReCarbon and Utilitas Partner on Hydrogen Production

19 Jun 2020  by Molly Burgess

ReCarbon, the developer of the patented Plasma Carbon Conversion Unit (PCCU), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with leading Australian bioenergy developer Utilitas Group, to build biogas-to-hydrogen plants across Australia.

Contributing to the construction of biogas to renewable hydrogen facilities globally is one of ReCarbon’s key expansion strategies; including making hydrogen more accessible.

“We are pleased to collaborate with Utilitas to seek to establish production plants which will not only create a new supply of renewable hydrogen, but simultaneously address greenhouse gas emissions from biomass,” said Jay Kim, President of ReCarbon.

Also commenting on the partnership, Fiona Waterhouse, CEO of Utilitas Group, said, “We see ReCarbon’s technology and expertise as an innovation to empower this continuing journey to create new high value opportunities for biogas.”
